Question RAM Confusion

So I recently bought the HP Pavillion Gaming laptop 15 - ec0100AX. It has 8 GB Ram , 1TB HDD, Ryzen 5- 3550H , Nvidia GTX 1650. I searched and found that 2gb ram is reserved, but when I check my task manager it shows that only 3.7 gb ram is usable. Can someone please explain this ? Also why does it show as 100% active for my Disk C when I just attend online class ok Webex. Also will adding RAM make it any better?

You might want to make sure your laptop is on the latest BIOS update. Also, which OS version are you on? We're on version 20H2 for Windows 10. If you're experiencing high CPU usage while idle or minimal tasks, you might be experiencing memory leak which is averted by reinstalling your OS.

Although 8gb ram is starting to not be enough, that is a bit strange that your disk is at 100%.

If you boot the laptop and DO NOT connect to the Internet, what is the disk doing?

It's not always at 100%. It fluctuates from 0 to 5 to 13 to 93, 97 to 100. Is there any way I change the amount of RAM reserved . Please pardon me if I ask really dumb questions lol.

I would try it without Internet and see if it is less than 90% as it should be. There may or may not be since those settings are not always adjustable.
