Hi there i built my own rig a while back about 4 months actually and i have just installed CPU-Z, I wanted to check my ram Freq and i was confessed because i bought "
Corsair Vengeance Red 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit" And when i go to Cpu-Z it says its running at 1333MHz [665.2MHz *2 = 1333MHz]
Witch make no sense what so ever as the ram comes stock at 1600.

can anyone give me a hand with this?

Here is a screen cap of the CPU-Z report......

Most motherboards will default RAM to DDR3-1333 unless the settings are manually configured or the XMP profile is loaded. Are you sure that the RAM settings are right in the BIOS? CPUz sometimes mis-reports, but usually it is pretty accurate. It could be that you forgot to configure the BIOS when you first built the computer, or the BIOS may have been reset at some point since then.
