I have 4 gb 11-11-11-28 1600mhz i think in my prebuild pc and I wanted to upgrade it to 8 so I bought a 4 gb 9-9-9-24 1600mhz secondhand

I worked just fine for 2 weeks but since one week I got constant blue screens with difrent errors so I got the new stick out and I work just fine
And than I put it back in and got the old one out and it works just fine

Is the problem that the sticks can't work together of is it something else?

Solution
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards can be very sensitive to this.

You might be able to fix things by upping the ram voltage in the bios a bit and manually setting the cas and speed setting to be identical.
