[SOLVED] RAM meant to run at 3600 mhz but runs at 3200

Hello all, on the package of the ram it says 3600 mhz,I have turned on X.M.P profile, it says DDR4-3600 as the profile name and the system memory multi is set to 3600 by auto, but in bios it says the frequency is 3200 MHZ and it also says that in NZXT cam. Any clue why? I have a z390 GAMING SLI mobo and Corsair vengeance rgb pro. Thanks

What CPU do you have?

could be a bios glitch where the XMP is being overridden by a custom profile, on Intel platforms it shouldn't make much of a difference

Try and check if your BIOS is up to date. This might solve your problem. If not, consider that a lower frequency may allow you to fiddle with the timings and lower them = better performance anyway.
