ram module problem

i recently bought a panram ddr4 4gb of ram in used online shop when i tested the ram if theres any problem in a ramtest software , the pc is hang when the ram usage up in 6gb . is there any way to limit the ram to 2gb?

mobo msi night elf b150m
proc g4560
ddr4 patriot 4gb
ddr4 panram 4gb (the that i recently bought)
gpu r9 280x dual-x 3gb
thermaltake smart 600w
