So i've fixed up an old dell optiplex 780 (intel e7500, 2gb 1066mhz ram, 03nvj6 motherboard), surprisingly getting a 2-3 second boot time with a SSHD. The motherboard supports 1333mHz ram, 4 sticks of it up to 16gB, CPU is 1066mHz FSB however so in theory with a 1333mHz ram stick it would underclock to 1066mHz. I went out and bought 2 sticks from the same kit of 4gB ram (HMT151R7BFR4C) at 1333mHz, when inserted i get the dreaded incompatible beep from the motherboard and it will not boot. I have tried inserting one stick at a time in every slot, tried with the old stick that works and the 2 new ones in different channels, i've tried every possible combination and yet I can not get it to boot, i'm really stuck! I've updated the BIOS to A15 which is the latest one and every driver is up to date on the system.
If i were to upgrade the CPU to the Q9550 which has a 1333mHz FSB do you think it would fix the no boot problem or is this a motherboard related issue? If someone knows where i'm going wrong then I would greatly appreciate the help!!

The old stick is a 1066mHz PC3-8500 2gB which works and it boots. The new is 1333mHz and a PC3-10600 which just beeps at me.

I've just had a look and you're right as well... rookie mistake!! Can't believe I did that, thank you so much for the help, been messing with it for hours and hours!!
