Ram only seen as half

Hi I seem to be having an issue with my ram I have 2x 8bg ram stick which were working fine until recently for some reason each ram stick is only being showed as 4bg my Bois is up to date and have tried different ports With no luck can anyone help me out please

I have a gigabyte motherboard which is a ga-z77x-ud3h (rev1.2). My ram is a patriot intel extreme masters 8gb 1600mhz sorry this took so long I've been at work but on another note my pc used to register the ram as 8gb it's. But now at 4gb so I'm not sure on the issue

Try some memory testing software.
