Hello guys,

I have a question about RAM OC, I am not that informed about it. Days ago I tried to change my RAM from 2133 to 3200 by entering the BIOS and changing the XMP profile, but my PC just reboots and I removed the cmos to reset my mbo's settings. So my question is can I switch my RAM XMP if the RAM is not listed in my MBO's Memory QVL?
Here is a detailed build before you ask:

PSU: Cooler Master MWE V2 750W
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU: Zotac GTX 1080 Mini 8GB
MBO: Asrock x570 Phantom Gaming 4 https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/X570 Phantom Gaming 4/index.asp
RAM: G.skill Aegis 16GB 2x8 3200MHz CL16

Solution
Ram overclocking, or xmp in general are very unstable, and unregulated things.

The QVL list is guaranteed to work, but other kits should work too, it's just that they haven't been tested together.
XMP is hit or miss. It might work, it might not.

You can dive in deeper to maybe be able to manually overclock it, but IMO, just set a 2933xmp profile and be done with it.
