Hey buds,

ill start off with my config

amd x2 phenom 550
ati radeon 4650 gpu
MoBo - ga ma74gmt-s2 gigabyte
Ram - 2gb ddr3 800mhz (atleast to what it shows on "cpuz") (Dram Frequency 668 mhz)
i will need to open it up and check it out once

the problem is that when i took this config the place i got the ram from, gave me a 2gb some odd company ram, and i took it, and i am guessing it is a 800mhz or 1033 mhz ram

now i want to update this to 2x2gb or i have budget to buy the 4gb too

also i will upgrade my os to win 7 64 bit as soon as i get the 4gb or 2 gb extra ram

but the question is that will the 4gb work along with the 2gb ???
or do i HAVE to sell the old one, because selling it just makes no sense ...

Solution
Preferably, 2 Identical sticks of RAM, capacities, timings and voltages. That's the basic criteria , we can mix and match RAMs no doubt about that, but , we prefer not to because sometimes they cause other major issues with certain programs and other stuff.
The more the RAM the merrier, believe me, enough is enough for a little while, when you start to unleash the potential of a rig, even the Max supported falls short.
Either way, it depends on you, 4GB is like a Minimum requirement, but since you mobo houses only 2 Sticks at the max, it's preferable to start of with 4 and work yourself up to 8. You can go in for the 6GB combination now if you feel like it, if it works, good for you, until you can upgrade to another 4GB stick .

I shoot with it if I needed.

Used to owned the non VR version, heavy and specific to do only 1 type of the job. Not much need for it anymore. Traded the 400f2.8af-s for Nikon 200-400mm VR II.

Most I shoot today, is Nikon 200mm f/2 VR II or Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8

Can u tell me why people from the Indian region when they are asking for the driver or anything else, they almost always put Free Acer Support or free HP diver...

Do they have to pay for it over there?

Or is it because most links they found are through some driver finding pages where u have to buy the program that will find the driver?

drivers are free here too

i just guess they dont have enough brains to call the tele support
they normally direct you to a server where they keep all the drivers, and even if you dont get it there i guess google is always there to support you

but again whey ask here when they can send an email to the acer company for a link to the driver :))

donno man, just some weird dudes i guess

in india the tele support has really come up a lot
even when i get something from us and use it here, and if they have support here they help me with it, and this is the same for the laptops too which have been bought from here and have expired from warranty
they make it a point to solve the problems, if they see that you have bought the stuff with genuine bills and not from grey market
