FYI that CPU/mobo won't allow you to run your RAM faster than 2400 MHz no matter what kit you get.

Thanks for the info. If I were to get the 270, would the speeds go up at all?

If you had Z170/Z270 you could run faster RAM (and overclock your CPU).

Do you already have all these parts? Did you just buy them?

Yea, sadly I bought the H170 before realizing I was on the wrong chipset.

No, I bought the motherboard off of eBay. And the RAM was ADATA XPG 8GB 2(400?)

Ah, ok. Memory speed generally isn't a bid deal for Intel chips anyway. Not sure if you saw it, but included a link to a kit I'd recommend in an edit in one of my previous posts.
