Ram type question

So I am a little confused. I want to get more ram for my computer but can not figure out what I have. I know I have 8gb of ram (4X2gb), I have 4 open slots. It is all factory. I would like to get Ripjaw, and I would like to get 4 of the 4gb. now this is where I am confused. I currently have ELPIDA 2GB 2Rx8 PC-3-8500U-7-10-BO, when I look it up it seems everyone says it is "PC3-8500 DDR3-1066" , but when I got to Crucial.com and run a system scan they want to sell me "DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.5V 256Meg x 64". Is there a difference between 1066 and 1600? I only ask because I want to buy the right kind of Ripjaw.

DDR3-1066 is slower than 1600, so the faster sticks will be underclocked to 1066, not that you will see a significant difference anyways.

So can i use DDR3-1600? will it fit in the ram slots even though i am currently using DDR3-1066?

DDR3 is DDR3, the number of pins and their placement is the same. It is only the speed at which the sticks are rated for are different.
