Ram upgrade, dell optiplex 760

Can anyone recommend a RAM I could put in my dell optiplex 760 as I got a new PC and I want tom mess around with what's in the optiplex. Also any other component upgrades maybe even using those components and more in a new case... Thanks 🙂

I have another one just like it that the kids fight over. it has an E8400, 6GB 800MHz (mixed) ram and a dirt cheap HD6450. it won't play any recent big titles, but for casual web games it's great.

So what's the best I can get out of this in terms of upgrades. Shame that most the stuff apart from CPU and ram is specific to that PC and case. And storage is upgradable of course.

i forget which is the best low profile GPU currently available, no doubt someone around here will know... GT730 maybe
8GB of ram (2GB 800MHz non-ecc unbuffered x4)
E8400 or better CPU (they were designed to run a quad core and discrete GPU, but a 3450 or something equally rubbish, so maybe better not to push your luck if you're getting a decent recent graphics card)

I spent about £50 on mine, (CPU, RAM, GPU), all used parts off ebay - no point spending more, considering it's age.
if you want to try a quad, you could max it for about $100.
