RAM upgrade / Worth it?

I currently have 2x1GB 533MHz CL4 RAM. Would I see any real performance improvement if I upgraded to 4x1GB 800MHz CL4 RAM? And am I likely to see rise in the mb temps as I've read that this configuration (4x1) puts some stress on northbridge (if it ever allows me to run 800MHz in the first place?).

My mobo's Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe. I'm running AMD 64 X2 4200+ so does that mean I have 1000MHz FSB (=HyperTransport) to fully utilize the RAM speed? What about going with 2x2GB 800MHz CL5?

Thanks in advance and pardon me for my noobness.

Ok, say I go with 2x Kingston HyperX KHX6400D2LLK2/2GN (=4x1gb). Is there any chance I can run stable using 4-4-4-12 timings @ 2.0V ? I'd appreciate a clear reply as I've not been able to find unambiguous answer yet.

Oh and I had to reply since the board said I am not allowed to edit my own post.

Firstly for some reason standard edit doesn't work, but quick edit does... dunno why

Running 2x2gb sticks puts a lesser strain on your northbridge, and even so on that board the nb is pretty well passively cooled. If your case has some built in cooling then you don't have to worry about the increased temps when running 4x1.

On Kingston's site they rate that specific stick at 4-4-4-12 @ 2.0V, so there's no reason you shouldn't be able to hit that with 4 installed. You might just have to push a little more juice into your nb if it's slightly unstable
