[SOLVED] RAM Upgrade.

I have some new Hyper X Ram Sticks, I have 3x8GB of them, 24GB in short.

The thing is I have an older CPU: Intel Core i7-980x
Online I've read that the max amount of RAM for this processor is 24GB. My Motherboard has 6 RAM Slots.

My question is; What will happen if I place more than 24GB RAM in it?
