RAMBUS & 8x AGP

Is there any mfg. anywhere in the freekin' free world that makes a mobo that supports:
- P4 478
- 1066 RAMBUS <b>and</b>
- has an 8x AGP slot?

Anyone?? Bueller??

Sis was supposed to come out with a p4 800 chipset for rambus, something like r659, but it may have been posponed or cancelled. I would email them to find out when it will reach venders.

SiS DOES have the 659, someone (I believe Abit) DOES have a board with it, but that board is hard to find.

Why not go with the i850E and AGP4x? Why would you want AGP8x so badly?

No information on abit or asus' websites on the r659 boards. The boards may not be available until the third quarter. Sis has been running late on some of their chipsets lately.

Why would you want AGP8x so badly?

I'd just like the option of having an upgrade path; right now, it seems there <b>is</b> no option available. I've sunk a lot of $$$ for memory in this beast; I'd like to be able to game with a higher horsepower card I can fully take advantage of. Additionally, I'm guessing PCI-X mobos/systems will be uber-pricey when they first come out. I'd like to hold out until the prices on those systems starts to come down.

you can put an agp 8x card in an i850 mobo and get exactly the same performance as an equivalent 8x board.
