random black screen

ok so when im playing something tthat uses flash i get random black screens i thought at first it was my gpu so i put it to stock speeds and it wasnt that. ive had my cpu oc at the same settings for a long time until today. so i tried raising my vcore and its still happening please help i dont know whats going on its not temps either ive been checking that as well

What browser are you using? Does it do this in all browsers? What GPU do you have?

my gpu is r9 290 it says it in my sig. and im using chrome whats weird is i can play games that use a lot of cpu and ram and i dont get the black screen its only when im using flash games like 8 ball pool on mini clip or if i do a internet speed test

Almost certainly a driver issue with hardware accelerated Flash rendering. You need to turn that off and see if it solves your problems.

Hang on there is a MUCH easier way to do it. Right click on a flash video, and select "Settings". Click the first tab, and unselect "Enable hardware acceleration". Ignore what I said in first post (I've removed that now, that would disable ALL GPU acceleration in Chrome, and you obviously don't want to do that). If you type in chrome://gpu/ in the url bar, you can see exactly what is and isn't being accelerated by your GPU.
I'm almost certain disabling hardware acceleration for Flash will fix your problem.

good call man i recently updated to the amd 15.8 beta drivers i might downgrade to 15.7 stable if i keep getting the black screen

I had a feeling, 'cos my brother just bought a 390X and was having the same issue. AMD will probably fix it... eventually. That said, Flash itself just needs to die already as a thing.
