I have an r9 390 nitro. Recently a problem has arised in games, it seems once it reaches 66C things go badly. Not sure if coincidence or not, but anytime it went above 65c it would have lines tearing the screen, go black for split seconds at a time, and just glitch out all together, sometimes it would go completely black and it would require turning it off with a button.
Completely uninstalled all graphics drivers and reinstalled, seemed to be okay.
Now, it seems to be randomly black screening while doing normal use, just watching youtube. Once it black screens the audio will loop and it requires a reset.
I have no clue what is triggering it. My other specs are as follow:
32GB ddr4 Ripjaw Vs
i5-7600k
Z270m Mortar mobo
750w gold evga psu
One odd thing, is the glitches never/ very rarely happened in VR, only in games like Overwatch and Ark, both get my card to over 65 degrees fairly quickly, the problem seemed to stop (before I did the driver uninstall) when i put my fans to 100?
Would OCCR be a good thing to test this with? Kombuster doesn't seem to do it.
