Random Disconnects And DNS crashes

So as I am either playing games, or just sitting there, my mouse and keyboard will disconnect and reconnect. And to make matters worse I am having constant troubles with chrome and DNS, including errors like ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED, i have added the 8.8.8.8 as prefered, and such but that will only be a temporary fix. I have followed other guides on fixing the DNS but at this point I am thinking i may need to new router. Any advice would be appreciated

the keyboard has a short in the wire affecting the mouse, and router may need to be replaced.
