Hello! Something strange is happening from some weeks, when I updated my Windows 10 to the Creators Update(fall) my pc started to randomly restarts (3 times until now) without any reason.. My CPU/GPU are not overheating or even motherboard there is like no reason to do it. Before I update the Windows I had like no problems like this..
My specs:
CPU : AMD FX-6300 with 212x
GPU : 1060 6gb
RAM : 8 GB DDR3
HDD : old 500gb hdd
PSU : FSP Raider 650W 80+ Silver
Mobo: Asus M5A78L-M LX3 (old until I upgrade the cpu)

Solution
Looks to be an OS bug of some sort that you folks discovered. You may want to point this issue to MS support. Also, by disabling Fast Startup, it forces your system to shutdown and Cold Boot like Windows 7 did when shutdown is selected. Windows 8 introduced Fast Startup, which carried over to 8.1 and now 10. If the system random reboots, the system will perform a full boot of the OS kernel. Normally, if you shut down with Fast Startup enabled, the OS info is saved to disk as the hiber.sys file, and this file is read on boot vs. loading everything from scratch. This is where the much faster boots come from.
Just switched to 10 1709 two weeks ago, and experienced problems right after installation, with my Asus ROG Strix GTX1070s not recognized (random Microsoft graphic card), and driver can't install (driver not compatible with your version of Windows, wtf???, while NVidia driver his downloaded by Windows)
A bit later, an update installs with a small program (something like Windows update helper of some sort), and after then the problems start....
Just found this thread, does the trick still work for you guys?

System info:
Fully updated Win 10 1709
Asus ROG Strix X370-F gaming mobo
AMD Ryzen 7 1700
2 GTX1070 Strix

Thanks!

Trick is working so far, will see how long

Got a new bug, a BSOD, with an error message this time: Video_scheduler_internal_error

Just installed the latest update from Windows update, will see if it works...

Recently upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 (only last Saturday) and since then I've had around 4-5 restarts with no warning or BSOD using an AMD CPU. Having found no solution so far I've just found the solution mentioned in this thread so hopefully its a fix. Will update in the future.

Sooo, after like 40 clean installs and roughly 130 BSODs, system is now quite stable, with my Ryzen 7 1700 OC'd @ 4GHz. Works well with FCU, still on the same rig, one 275Gb SSD (system), two 525Gb SSDs (Autodesk Inventor on one and my games on the second both Crucial), one 1To HDD(WD), two internally installed USB3.0 hard drives (1Tb and 2Tb from Maxtor), Asus Strix GTX 1070, all on a Asus ROG Strix X370-F Gaming, with 16gb DDR4(Corsair Vengeance in 2466MHz), SeaSonic powerplan (850W) and a BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro ventirad. Dunno what happened, but I'm quite happy, several days now without hard reboots, BSOD and all that stuff

Hi, I've got the same issue (random sudden restarts) on my AMD A10 processor after installing Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Disabling fast startup feature is a solution for some time. It helped me for 9 days and random restarts came back. Please tell me if anyone find any solution for this 🙁!

Hi! I've got the same problem! Disabling Fast Boot gave me 10 days to work without errors, but today the BSOD happened again! "BugCheck 124, {0, ffffd80b5500d038, 0, 0}

Probably caused by : AuthenticAMD "

Searching deeper in the error, i found this: Error : BUSLG_GENERIC_ERR_*_TIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 4)

I used the Windows Debugging Tool to grab the Minidump information.
Before the Windows Fall Creator Update, i never had this error.

Sorry for the poor english, i'm from Brazil 😛

My Specs:
Proc: FX 6300 - 4.2 GHz ( by cpu ratio )
RAM: 2x4 GB DDR3 1600 HyperX
GPU: GTX 960 2GB EVGA SC
HD: 1 TB Seagate
PSU: 500w Thermaltake Smart
Mobo: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
Water Cooler: Deepcool Maelstrom 240T

Sorry for not being active I contacted way before M$ and we found a temporary solution for the bug. Open Control Panel - > Power Options -> From the left side click on: 'Choose what the power buttons do' -> Make sure that When I press power button is set to Shutdown and the sleep button one to nothing, then untick the boxes under and save changes!
