random shut downs...new build

I got the GTX 970 msi, we see screen, led on gpu lights up, fans on gpu kick up but when we run CSGO or minecracft the system shuts of after 2 mins or less. what could be the problem?
I gave the 970 a 6 pin and 8 pin so.... i don't know what the issue is, even the stuff from the msi's disc. btw i hav a gigabyte z97 d3h motherboard.
evga supernova G2 750w that PSU is like tier class 1 or 2.

Friend used HWmonitor, CSGO comes up and the CPU was around 33 - 47, the GPU was at 35. btw the fans stay off, is that meant to be for silent mode?
