Hi everyone, I just come back here and look like a nice community!
I have bought a new 24" 2k monitor around half year ago and I used to use 1080p monitor. I used to use hdmi cable with this monitor and this freeze screen and then no signal happened sometimes but not always so I didnt pay attention.
My display card is rx460 2gb ram
Recently I bought and start to use a new display port cable which is same brand as the hdmi cable.
This problem didnt happen right after I use displayport cable. The problem generally appears more and more high frequency. It finally becomes the screen would just freeze even in Windows 10 start up loading screen.
After the problem happens, sometimes the windows seem like still running and I can just press power button once to turn off computer as normal. Sometimes I need to press and hold the power button to force shut down.
I download a program to totally uninstall all display drivers related stuff then only use windows update display driver. Then problem happenes not high frequency anymore, but still happen once in around every 2 hours. I have also turned off the Autosync option in monitor.
It never happens while I play CSGO, it always happens while I use Windows now, like browsing websites or checking files with file explorer.
I cannot tell it is a windows problem, display card problem, displayport cable problem, or even PSU problem.
Any suggestion? Thanks!
