raptor install

hey all, i'll have my 74 gig raptor soon and i bought it oem so no software come withs it, what will i need to download in order to get windows xp on it for a fresh install ? any help is greatly appreciated

You need a SATA controller and the driver for that SATA controller. Get the driver from your controller manufactuer's website, or maybe it was bundeled with your motherboard. Write it to a floppy disk, press F6 during XP setup and choose the appropriate driver from the list.

crap im lost, im installing now, used f6 to setup mobo controller with floppy, when i try to install xp it says hard disk not found, any ideas now ?

Assuming the BIOS detects the hard drive okay then you haven't installed the correct driver. Which motherboard do you have and what driver are you installing?

When it says that, then hit S at the screen where it asks you to do so to install a driver. Put in the floppy.
