I have been doing custom builds only for the last decade. Last week, my system went out in the middle of a major project, so I had to run out to the computer store and grab a semi-decent pre-built tower. It has fairly impressive speed functions pretty nicely. My plan was to just return it and move forward with my planned custom build upgrade next month. But now, it's got me second-guessing the need for that. My budget is about $1,500 anyway, and that is what this one cost. So here are the specs, tell me how I did and if I should even bother with trying to change it now that I have it. Based on the prices I'm seeing for parts on NewEgg, I'm not sure I can do much better.
