Rate my new computer: Use a scale of 1-10.
My purpose for building this computer is overclocking and pure, maxed out gaming. This is the best I could do on a budget so please rate it and feel free to critique it and offer any suggestions.

Intel i7 920 2.66Ghz
Asus Rampage II Gene
Patriot G-Series (3x2GB) 1600Mhz
PSU Corsair TX850 Watts
Asus Radeon HD 5870

I'm using a generic case with enough room for the video card and all the components, 24" monitor, keyboard, mouse and all the needed stuff to interact with the computer.

Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit.

Edit:

Thanks for the feedback guys.
As fas as i can see, the low scores belong to having "Generic Case, 32bit OS, having Vista and no Windows 7", this is a 3 days ago system.
The case i have is one i had from a previous system so i sticked all of the parts in there as soon as they got here, im getting the HAF932 next week (YAY).
For the Vista 32bit OS is the only one i have too. I bought 3x2gb stick because im planing to jump into windows 7 64bits to sqweezh all the 6gb of RAM once i borrow it.
I have a 1TB Hitachi HDD. It takes 10-15 seconds to load any Crysis level.
Thanks again for the feedback, i can see i bought a good system aside from the case and OS.

8/10 * ... I can forgive only having one 5870(they cost more then some whole computers I've put together) but to stick that stuff in a generic case and run 32bit vista on it... I'm tempted to score it lower just for those two things.

^+1...

I give the system a 5/10... -2 for no 64-big OS, -2 for Generic Case & -1 for no listing of hard drive

I agree with all of the previous users to make the jump to a 64-bit OS (Vista or Win 7) to utilize all your RAM. Or you can sell your RAM and pick up a 3GB (3x1GB) set to utilize the 32-bit system. In gaming, there is no true benefit running more than 3GB of RAM.

I give you....
-1 for vista
-1 for 32bit
-1 for only having 4GB of ram since you have a 32bit OS
-1 for generic case
-1 for 5870, instead of 2x 5970's
-1 for 920 vs a 975

4 Stars!
