it feels like every other time i boot into windows 11, there's a new update. sometimes they take WAY too long and it slows my pc down so badly it's practically frozen. i can't find an option anywhere to turn off updates, and synapse 2.0 doesn't recognise my cynosa keyboard or naga trinity mouse even after uninstalling them in device manager with a reboot

synapse being synapse

shame their hardware is good as their software isn't

Open Synapse. Click on your account name in the top right and pick offline mode in the drop down. It will never go online and look for updates and it will not sync your profile to the cloud.
might not work as its from 5 years ago - link

seems like they've since removed offline mode. all i get from clicking on my pfp (with your account name in the ensuing dropdown menu) is these options. nothing for it in settings, either

what do you use it for?
rgb or profiles or macros?
cause could use this for rgb - https://www.signalrgb.com/devices/
not so much other 2 uses.

I stopped using synapse as it used to try to install itself during windows installs and I saw that as pushy.
I actually avoid Razer hardware because of it.

its hard to find anything newer about stopping it. Could just stop it running with windows at start but that probably not ideal answer.

in maybe the most confusing design decision ive ever run into, apparently you specifically have to access a separate settings menu, that looks identical visually to the normal one except with different options, by right-clicking the system tray icon and going to "settings" from the context menu. THEN there's an option to turn off auto updates

Its synapse. Razer don't have to try with their software as people want their hardware. They in same position Logitech had 15 years ago, they are almost the default in gaming peripherals. Only if someone replaces them at the top will be they think about improving software side of things.

Glad you found it
