Here is the link to thread I started back in Dec.'2023 in the Windows 11 Forum: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/no-audio-output.3831037/

The pic above is the Logitech Z-2200 2.1 speaker system that I bought in 2004. In 2007, I moved, and had to leave the bass, but kept the satellites.

In 2008, I bought Logitech's Z-2300 2.1 speaker system.

Which now made it a 4.1 system. Sound was fine, until the audio output driver somehow went bad(PC is from Best Buy in 2019). I tried to re-install the driver, multiple times. But with no success. The speakers are RCA connection.

I had a local PC tech come by over the weekend. He came to the conclusion I was dreading. He said I would have to start using the Bluetooth capability. So, I am trying to figure out. How to enable using the Bluetooth capability on my PC. While still being able to use my external speakers.

RSVP ASAP TIA

What's stopping you from using a soundcard (either internal or USB)?

You would need to get a Bluetooth receiver with appropriate connectors to hook the system up via Bluetooth.
While I bought one from Amazon, and one from Micro Center. I only see how the Bluetooth receiver will connect to the back of the Subwoofer. I don't see how my RCA speakers will connect to the Bluetooth receiver.

You need to be clearer on precisely what is broken here. Are you saying that there is no output from the green jack on the back of your PC and/or the headphone jack on the front of your pc? If yes, have you definitely determined that this is problem that would not be remedied by a fresh reinstall of windows? Or are you saying that the circuitry in the subwoofer is not working but all 4 of the speakers are working?

I have been clear. The audio output driver in Win 11, went afoul. I tried numerous times, un-installing, re-booting, d/l'ing and, re-installing the driver from Realtek's website. This has nothing to do with circuitry.

A complete re-install of Windows would make things worse.

The tech who came by, this past Saturday. Said I should utilize my PC's Bluetooth capability.

I'm trying to remember those ones as the configuration was different than the 5.1s (I have 680s and 5500s), but the satellites have a hard wired RCA jack right?

So I'm guessing you have the satellites that came with the 2300s plugged into the subwoofer and then the satellites from the prior set plugged in separately. Those I'm assuming are connected to a 3.5mm adapter so they could plug into the PC and operate as surround correctly.

You'd need to find a receiver that supports analog surround sound since I don't think the 2300s have optical.

Personally I use a Sound Blaster X4 for my 5500s.

I got two RCA 'Y' cables from Micro Center, which enabled me to make use of all four satellite speakers.

I went ahead and bought another SoundBlaster Audigy(5/RX this time, I previously had the SE) from Creative Labs. The whole RCA-Bluetooth-RCA thing was becoming a monster headache.

Yeah I think this was always the best move unless you needed the wireless functionality of Bluetooth. That's why I asked why you didn't just get a soundcard in my original post.

A Y-Cable is just replicating the sound across two speakers. Being that they are two different speakers, you might make it sound worse than if you just use two speakers.
