Hello there.
First of all, this is my spec' for my laptop that I think related to this topic (Not that detailed but here I go)
CPU: Intel i7 2670QM 2.20 Ghz
RAM: 8GB total (4GB x2)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 540M Optimus 2GB Memory.
OS: Win 7 Professional Home x64
Laptop model: DELL XPS 15 L502X
Practically I saw a HDMI port on my laptop so
and somehow I was thinking of using an external monitor, a good monitor with at least 2ms respond time and 120Hz refresh rate, instead of using this laptop's monitor which caps my RR at 60Hz
As usual, I'm of course trying to increase my FPS for games (indirectly). There's always time where my FPS would only range from 55 - 70 and I find it's quite slow.. (Given that the game actually let me reach 80 on certain occasion)
Given the game is only 2.5D (Not even 3D, more like 2D).. I'm sure having 55-70 is a bit normal.. I'm plainly just trying to reach at least 80 during my play, 80 - 120 works fine
Also, given that the monitor is quite costy (300 - 600 AUD), I guess it's better to ask the community.
Does it actually possible to raise my refresh rate from 60Hz into 120Hz or a bit lower but somewhere more than 60 - 75 Hz with my laptop&the spec.
- Side question, does monitors normally come with one cable? (Like only HDMI or DVI) or do they come with both?
Thanks for the help, your answers are appreciated!
