I don't get it, but I sure don't like it. No physical changes have been made
to my system since last time I activated XP Home. Now suddenly I get this
pop saying something about significant changes made to system since last
activation, therefore I need to reactivate? WTH? My copy's legit/legal, but
this is irritating and questionable. Anyone care to explain this one? TIA.

Possible Resolution:

Boot into "Safe Mode" by pressing (F8) during a reboot.

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Again go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter.

Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.
