I'm was perusing, and came up on this site: 001injets. They sell ink cartridges really cheap - I've seen 50% off! Are these the real McCoy or refills? I wouldn't wanna screw up my cheap Xerox DocuPrint M760...

Just from looking at their site, they don't seem to be originals.

Hmm...what do you suggest? Is it worth it to try them, since their cheaper, or to just get the retail ones in a computer store? Thanks Rob!

I wouldn't go with any third party ink unless others have tried it and there has been good feedback (especially if it's an expensive printer). I took a further look at their site and found this clause under their "Guarantee" section:

"001Inkjets.com makes reference to certain manufacturers & item#'s solely because we distribute consumable ink products designed to work with those manufactured products. We are in no way associated with the manufacturers listed on our web site. All products sold on this web site are new replacement cartridges, we do not sell original name-brand cartridges."

Guess that makes it clear that what they sell are self-branded cartridges.

Personally, I've been using a brand called Korectype and find that they're not bad, especially since they're a fair amount cheaper than the original. I've seen Korectypes for cheaper than the prices listed on the site for some cartridges (I'm in Canada, so I estimated how much they would be in CAD).

I too wouldn't look into this, except that this printer was only $65. It was a bargin printer, supposed to print 12ppm black/8ppm color. Plus, the separate ink tanks appealed to me. Now, a lot of printers are switching to that style. But, it's not bad.

Since few people in these forums have seem to read the printer forums, I'll try AnandTech or something, and see if anyone's had experience with this company.

Thanks for looking into it Rob. I appreciate the help.

Yeah, why is it that the printer forums are so quiet here?

It's not a problem at all, and Good Luck! :)
