First off i have a bad Asrock A320M HDV R4.0 motherboard. Though i googled it and it seemed like it supported the 5700X. Ive seen people say it runs completely fine with them.
I bought a 5700X and a 7800XT to revive this old girl. But after i put in the 5700X when i stress test it, the computer immediately starts bugging out. I thought it was maybe a bios version problem so i updated it to the latest version and still same stuff. After that i went back and put in my 1600X. I stress test it, computer bugging out again. Im assuming it doesnt work well now because the 10.xxx BIOS version doesnt work well with 1st gen Ryzens to i try to roll it back. Every time i try to flash it with an older version it says invalid file.
Ive tried pressing F9 and defaulting the settings but still nothing. I tried the 7.00 bios version, ive tried the 1.00 and every time it says invalid file. I have no idea how to roll back the BIOS to test it with the old version. My gpu got stuck and when i tried pushing the little PCIE flap down i banged the mobo. It didnt seem like i did any damage, nothing really visual. I hope its not due to that.
In general im just begging for help. I was very disappointed when i realized the 5700x works awful. I can run some less demanding games and the PC works just fine but it doesnt look good when it bugs out when im stress testing it. Also the temps seem great on both CPUs. Nothing weird with that. The 5700x was idling around 40C or high 30s and now the 1600x is idling around 30C.
Im begging for help. A start would be a way to roll back the BIOS version. Or maybe i can get the 5700x to work i have no idea.
