Hello,

Every time I am trying to install the Realtek AC97 on my Sony Vaio VPCL12M1E/S. And before the installation can be complete, I keep having this pop-up saying, "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software." I keep on clicking "Install this driver software anyway", and every 15 seconds after clicking on that it pops up again. I don't know how many times I had to click on that annoying pop-up. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I already got Realtek HD Audio. I'm trying to get my computer to pick up the microphone of my headset when I am using different programs like Audacity.
Please help me.

Thank you.

Stefan

Yes, that's what I meant, you can reset to factory settings to see if you can then enable the sound recording tab device as default. It *should* work with all the drivers installed and back at the original settings unless the jack is malfunctioning, which would be very unusual.

Hi!
I just wanted to check with things. When I'm starting up my PC, I keep tapping the F8 key and I then click on "Repair your Windows/computer", but there's a list of system recovery options and don't know which one to choose, as I was thinking to set my computer back to its original settings.
I was wondering, do you have TeamViewer 8?

Hello. I wasn't sure if you got my previous message.

I did click on restart on the advanced recovery settings, the computer was turned off and then back on, and went on to the mode where there is just this blue background with the green leaves and a white hummingbird. It said on there "Please install an installation disc" or "Could not find re-image". I tried clicking on "Retry" many times, the window still comes up. So I had to click on cancel.
I feel everything's not going good for me.

Do I need to insert a blank DVD and open up Roxio? And what kind of files do I need to put in the disc since I have saved my important files and other things on my USB external hard drive?
I know this is very annoying where I need your help. I'm just really desperate and I want this whole thing to be over.

To save files, if they are real important, I would want them saved to more than just an external drive. Backup on DVD is a good second storage if they are not too large. I would burn them using Windows, as I do not use Roxio. You can just insert the DVD, then drag and drop all the files onto the DVD in Windows Explorer and then follow this GUIDE using the mastered approach.

Oh, I've already got the different files on a blank DVD as well.
What do I need to do when I'm on the safe-mode kind of start-up? As it keeps saying "Do you have a Windows installation disc?" I click "Yes". Then it says that it couldn't find it. I kept clicking "Retry", but the same messages keeps coming up.

What else do I need to do? Which repair./recovery option do I need to click on after going on the safe-mode repair section of the computer?
Is there any other alternatives to hopefully sort out this whole situation?

I installed realtek AC97 driver , everything works but only as if volume was cranked to 100% all the time.
When running diagnostics it informs me that the Realtec drivers are not approved and signed drivers by Microsoft, They work sort of but not properly.
Microphone works properly volume control id flaky at best but my 5.1 sound system from dell doea not respond to the volume control on my sound bar on the center speaker. intil i installed windows 7 I never had this problem. Maybe i'll re install the Audigy board from Creative and see what happens

I just wasn't sure how I can get Stereo Mix for my Sony Vaio.
