Their may be something that your not aware of , a few years ago microsoft did a sound settings update and actually added more things to the sound options tabs. I have a headset with a mike and i use to be able to plug it in and it would automatically cancel the speakers . This no longer happens. I have to go into the sound optiuons and search for my headset and activate it and this will make them work , i suggest you do the same , note that the options are a long list and this is a small line for you to pull down with your mouse.

Just because you cant find the realtec driver does not mean you dont have it.

the headphones do not appear in sounds settings when plugged in

Somebody posted something in this thread and then apparently deleted it. IMHO, the post was spot on.

From your picture of the audio card inside the chassis, it looks like it is not plugged into a PCIe x1 slot. Power down and unplug the PC then move the card to the black PCIe x1 slot where it will fit just fine. If you have trouble fitting it into the black PCIe x1 slot, try the white one.

First power off and remove the power cord. Then open up your case.

Take out the audio card on the right side of your picture by:
1. Disconnecting the wires from the back of the audio card.
2. Removing the screw that is fixing the back of the audio card to your case.
3. Lifting up on the card. It should come out fairly easily.

Move the card to the slot to the left side of the video card on the left side of your picture by:
1. Removing the screw, that is fixing the slot cover to that slot.
2. Remove the slot cover by lifting it up and out.
3. Place the audio card into that black PCIe x1 slot and pushing it down firmly to make sure the bottom of the card is fitted into the slot on the motherboard.
4. Use one of the two loose screws to a fix the audio card onto the case.
5. Reconnect the wires to the back of the audio card.

Fix the just removed slot cover to the slot where the audio card originally was, and screw it to the case using the remaining screw.

If you think this is too complicated for you, have a friend help you with these instructions. You can also Google videos on how-to install an expansion card into a PC.

Left side does not have a line between like the right one therefore the card doesn’t fit

Bruh the wire doesn’t reach😭

Why do you need to do that? You shouldn't have to do that. That's the 24-pin ATX power connector.

But if you do have to, make sure you reconnect it properly afterwards. If you reconnect it up properly, it will be fine.
Ok it’s finally working thank you so much 😭

You mean the sound is working?

The wire that "doesn't reach" that goes to the sound card should be the front panel audio connector. It is NOT part of the 24-pin ATX power connector. The cable goes from the audio jacks on the front of your case to the sound card.
