My MSI motherboard p67-gd55, comes with a realtek sound card / intergrated sound card. I've not had a problem in the past where a sound card actually hits heavy on system resources. But Im fumed now about this real tek card, because its used 25 percent never more never less. It used 25 percent since i put the motherboard in with a fresh install, it used 25 percent after re-install driver/uninstall, everything you can think of.
I can't find any information on google. When I close the process for realtek hd audio manager, i can still hear sound, but anything else crashes.
Do I really need to buy a seperate sound card.
Not being an idiot here is what ive tried.
Using the orginal drivers off the DVD to install it
Doing a unload delete previous drivers uninstall and reinstall drivers via the newest out on the webpage (about 5 times)
looking up on google to find information on Realtek 25 percent, since this is the exact usage it uses the whole time you are booted into windows, never more, never less.
looking up if this is a commom virus that pretends its a driver or what not, and no its not.
does this software actually use 25 percent CPU usage all the time
Yes according to Prime85 x, Super System boost (processor usage), Core Temp reports this true as well
Im finding it hard to believe that i have to give away 25 percent of my sandybridge 2500kcpu to this soundcard. Help me cause I want to kick this in the teeth. I made the system myself, like I've done since i was 15, im 31 now. C64 and BBS days for the win.
