This is my current PC:
I7-3770k 8GB RAM, GTX 970

Cpu is 4 years old... Should i upgrade it or should i still wait?

Also i do a lot of Rendering in Sony vegas 13. Not to mention i do have a Water Cooler on it aswell.

Solution
Your socket is LGA1155 (that is if you have 3770k), and if you are planning to upgrade to 4th gen Intel CPU (which is Haswell) then you will need a different motherboard.

Ill Probably wait until the holiday season to come again for some deals on Cpu. Newegg is pretty good when it comes to Deals on PC Parts.

Keep it. The i7-3770 would gain a few percentage points on upgrading, but you'd have to buy both a new CPU and a new MOBO. Not worth it. If you were going from an original i7-9xx, that would be 3 generations of improvement and I'd say go for it. But - jumping one generation won't net you enough of a gain to be financially sound.

Everytime u buy a new CPU you have to buy a new MOBO as well? or can i still use my old one for most CPU'S?

Depends which socket it is. If your planned upgrade runs on the same socket then you shouldn't have to buy a new one. In this case, if you're going from Sandy or Ivy Bridge (LGA1155) to maybe Haswell (LGA1150) you will need a different motherboard.

I don't remember my Socket on my motherboard because i am not currently home. But once i do arrive there, ill reply again. Also i did buy this PC Prebuilt and i just changed the casing and added a water cooler and did a upgrade to the GPU.

Oh Alright.. wel than i guess i have to save up even more than. Thanks for the information guys!
