"Reboot and select proper boot device"

I made a new rig for a project and it doesn't want to read the USB (for OS) in order to boot. I am running an older 3gb/s drive but I don't think that is the issue considering it still gives this error even when the drive isn't plugged in.

So the plan was to download win 7 pro on a USB and then boot off of that but it always just gives that error in the title or it will say something like it can't find an OS. Even if I make the USB boot priority or just force it using F12 and then selecting it, it just gives the same two errors. I have done the BIOS update for my motherboard to support 4th gen CPUs.. Any help would be great! Thanks. :)

CPU: i3 4150
Mobo: H81-DS2V

Oh and everything boots into the bios just fine. It's just when I try to boot the USB.. I guess I could get a CD but I would have to order that. Thanks once again :)

You would need to make bootable Windows USB using WIndows USB DVD Download tool: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

Simply copying and pasting windows installation onto USB will not make it bootable.

If you are unable to make USB disk bootable using Windows USB DVD Download tool and face error messages, Follow the steps given in: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/unable-to-copy-files-using-windows-7-usbdvd/bd21e76d-5174-4f76-8db5-36df105a12c5 to make it bootable.
