receiving fax error

I am trying to set up to fax from my computor. I had someone send me a fax as
a test. The fax did not come through and on the fax monitor It shows the call
being repeated approx. every two mins. I have tried everything I know to do
to cancel the transmission but everytime I get a phone call it starts again.
There is a squealing in the incoming phone call also. This has gone on for
several days even after I have turn the computor off.

Wrong group. Please repost in microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax and be
prepared for them to want significantly more information.
