Question Recently upgraded to a Geforce RTX 3060ti 8gb and have been having issues with frame rate drops, lagging and some applications won't even load.

Specs:

Motherboard:
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME B550M-A

CPU:
Name: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor
Frequency: 3.701 GHz
Number of cores: 6
Threads: 12

RAM:
16 gb Corsair (2 GB cards, in slots 2 & 4)

CPU Cooler:
SE-224-XTS

PSU:
EVGA 1000 P3 Supernova (brand new, had it for 2 weeks and still encountering the same issue smh)

Idle temps/clock while typing this:
CPU:
34 degrees Celcius
Clock: 4650MHz
Load: 1%
GPU:
35 degrees Celcius
Clock: 210 MHz
Load: 2%
RAM: 38%
Storage: 45% (out of 500GB SSD)

Right now, everything is fine. I just launched a game, my temps are as follows:
GPU 37% load
Temp 54 degrees celcius
clock 1755
fan running 1475 rpm

But I could turn off my computer, do nothing different, suddenly my frames drop into the 30s. it is very wishy washy and honestly unplayable at times. I have noticed many others have had issues with their 3060ti, this was from a previous build that I gifted to my brother. I took the 3060ti and gave him my old 1660super (Which I regret bc it was reliable!!!). I did a DDU, uninstalling all of my drivers and reinstalling, I completely wiped my computer at one point... I just dont get it! Why is it not consistent???

What BIOS version are you on?

16 gb Corsair (2 GB cards, in slots 2 & 4)
You mean slots A2 and B2?

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU and it's age.
