With this whole *My case is too small to fit a DX10 card* has gotten to think about getting a new one myself. This is my current one:

And frankly it is pretty cramped in there. So I figured why not get a new case. Quesiton is, I dont know which one.

I have my eye on this one at the moment:

Watercooling may be something for me in the future.

Any suggestions on a case? Is this one good, bad, or excellent? Is it bigger than my current case? Hoping to not go over 180. Thanks 😀

Forget the Aurora.......it's VERY short depth-wise and will JUST fit an 8800GTX from what a buddy that owns one told me. If you want full tower, there are much better choices than the Aurora......at least get one that is deeper.....Thermaltake Kandalf and Armor come to mind. Lots of room for liquid cooling too at some point in the future.

Coolermaster has some towers, look at those, they're normally cheaper.

If you want mid-tower still though, look for a case that has 12" clear space from the rear shields to the back of the hard drive cage, or else get one that has a removable HDD cage. Actually, any case with a removable HDD cage will work, but then you may need a drive conversion kit to put your hdd's in the 5.25 slots. Thermaltake iCage comes to mind, it's pretty cheap too.

If your current case has a removable HDD then you're set, just get a 3.5-to-5.25 conversion kit for $20 and you're done 😉

Silverstone Cases, pretty much all of them have LOTS of space and they are really nice cases, but are kind of expensive.

Nice, but for that price, I could get a decent Thermaltake case, drive conversion kit, AND a 6300 CPU 8)

Silverstone = NICE, but "elitist". Overkill for the average person.

Any decent case with some room or a removable HDD will work with DX10. Heck, even an Aspire X-Cruiser will fit an 8800, and for $80 tops!

Go loooooooooooooooong.

This will give you room to spare and more.

Either one you pick, you can't go wrong. Get one of these addons to get some cooling mojo down..

Want to add watercooling? You can, the inside base of this case has holes to allow you to mount a pump inside, as well as knockout holes so that you can route your cooling hoses to the outside.

If you check out my sig, I have a Kandalf with a 8800 GTX. You will have the room to spare no doubt. :)

I've just bought the bits to make a new system with an Antec 900 Ultimate Gamer case which is big enough for an 8800GTS and has loads of cooling fans and space. It was roughly £80.

Be warned about that Antec 900 case. Some people are having issues with there DVI adapters not fitting the back of there cards due to them hitting the roof of the expansion slot.

If you decide to get this case, you should check to see if you will have this problem.

It's a hit or miss it really has to do with the motherboard pci-e 16x slot and where it is placed on the motherboard.

That's a SMALL price to pay for such a cool case! 😉

That's my first choice, Kandalf second. But alas, my desk area won't fit a full tower. Armor Jr or Aguila is gonna be my next case in the new year 😉

How loud is that sucker?

And I'd honestly be a bit concerned about the vibrations from such a big fan....maybe some vibe dampening needed......?

NO NO NO  No Vibrations!

That's why I bought my son the case... his XFX 7600 GT XXX used to WHINE like a baby in his old case... now I never even know when his computer is on! Bigger fans=less RPM and more AIRFLOW!

Dust is another issue... A once a week vacuum with a brush on the OUTSIDE of the case and fans works wonders though!
