Recommend an IDE burner for $100-150.

Can anyone recommend an IDE burner for $100 to 150?
A friend asked me and I know diddlely.

Also any information on what to look for and what
to avoid would be greatly appreciated.

Panasonic (though there's lots of problems that are brought up with them), Yamaha, Plextor.

What about the Sony Spressa 8x 4x 32x? It's running about $130 after rebate right now. It's had a good review, but I'm looking to buy myself... Is this a good buy?

Go with Plextor, they are very reliable ond use top notch parts. Also thier technical support is very helpful should anything go wrong.

Thier 8/4/32 EIDE drive is going for $100-$150 depending on the retailer you get it from.
