Recommend timing for a DS3, E4300, and Patriot extreme.

I have a DS3 REV 3.3 F10
Seems to run E4300 great at 9 x 333 = 3.0Ghz S.F. = 1.36v
Memory 2.5 X 333 = DDR833 4-4-4-12 +.3V all other settings auto

Want to try 2.66 x 333 = DDR886

need recommended timings as I cannot get this to boot or boot into memtest without errors over DDR833.

Settings:
cas = 5
ras-cas = 5
precharge = 5
tRAS = 15
rank write to read delay = auto
write to precharge delay = auto
refresh to act delay = auto/42
read to precharge delay = auto
memory perf enhance = normal

DDR2 O.V. control = +.3V
PCI-E = NORMAL
FSB O.V. control = +.1V
MCH = +.1V
CPU V control = 1.40v reads 1.36v in speedfan idle

need recommendations for timings, speeds, cpu, memory, voltages. Does yellow or red mem slots make any difference?

9x333 and DDR833 dual-prime stable for hours no memtest errors after 8 hours and 17 some passes. if I try 8x400 and DDR800 it wont boot?? That about as far as I have gotten as I have only been playing with timings for second day.

Since your memory's DDR2-800 spec is at 2.2V, and it seems like you are only running 2.1V (1.8V standard + 0.3V), I'd certainly start by boosting the voltage to 2.2V.

That Patriot memory overclocks really well. I'm running mine currently at 915 MHz with 5-5-5-16 timing.

Try loosening up your tRAS from 15 up to 16 or even 18. If you are going to run your memory that fast you'll definitely need to supply it 2.2V as specified in the product specs.

Also, I'm sorta confused what you are trying to do. Are you trying to increase your FSB to 400 MHz? Or you only trying to overclock your memory while keeping your FSB the same? If its the latter, you really arent going to see too much of a difference.

Is that patriot ram considered a good deal for $155 +S&H AR? I'm planning a C2D system and am wondering if I should just buy that RAM right now or wait until I get my CPU and mobo (which may not be until the april price cuts). Any input would be appreciated.

how long have you had your patriot? because they now use Elpedia instead of Micron chips.
