Wasn't sure whether to list this in the prebuilt systems section or the single board/Rasberry Pi section.

As per the title, I'm looking for recommendations of decent little mini PCs, preferably on the budget side as it will be for occasional use as a backup for work.
It only needs to be able to cope with a couple of dozen Chrome tabs open, but it must have 2x DisplayPorts 1.2 (full-size or mini DP) so I can connect my monitors.

Define budget side. Mini-PCs aren't generally super economical vs a cheap laptop. Though dual DP isn't common on cheap laptops. Plenty of SFF PCs that have dual display port from old to new though.

I'll see if there is anything worthwhile in the usual places.

There are some out there with 1 HDMI and 1 DP, You could just get an adapter cable for one of the monitors.

You may be better off with a more up to date Mini-PC with thunderbolt or USB4 and get yourself a small dock for multiple monitors.

The trend on most of the newer models is dual HDMI, which you could just get two HDMI to DP cables.

If you want some performance, take a look at AMD 7840HS based units:

Not sure if this would be small enough, and it is older, but it should have dual DP.

To give you any good suggestions we're going to need budget and whether or not whatever work that will be done has sensitive information. There are a ton of affordable solutions, but many come from random chinese companies. Most of the ones from major brands can carry a price premium which may or may not be worth it depending on specific use.

If you're looking for a budget, I don't think you can beat this used desktop. ($100) Over the last couple years I've purchased four of them, two of them are used for 6 camera surveillance systems. One had a faulty hard drive, so I recommend getting the insurance, too. These had VGA ports for video (I use them headless); maybe this card would work for you.

Thank you, everyone, greatly appreciated.

I hadn't seen the HP 600 series before and while researching, I had a small local store that has refurbished G4 and G5 mid-range units for really low money compared to new basic entry-level mini units.
So I'm gonna go for one of them as it's only going to see maybe 1-3 weeks of use through the whole of the year.
