Hey All,

I’ve been looking to upgrade my setup a bit, and with Black Friday around the corner, I thought it might be a good time to grab something high-quality but budget-friendly. Specifically, I’ve been wanting a mouse pad that can give me really smooth tracking with a durable surface—no more dealing with the fabric pads that start to wear down after heavy use.

I came across the FlashBeyond glass mouse pad (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DJ8NQC5V?th=1), which seems to have great build quality and a price that doesn’t break the bank. I’ve heard it’s comparable to the Wallhack in terms of smoothness but with a much more competitive price. It’s supposed to be ultra-smooth, which is a huge bonus for me since I like minimal drag when gaming. I haven’t seen a ton of reviews on it yet, so I was wondering if anyone here has tried it out or knows anything more about its long-term performance?

I don’t have a strict budget, but I’d definitely like something that’s going to last without dropping a huge amount. I’d appreciate any recommendations if there’s something better out there for the same price range, or if you think this is a solid buy.

I’m in the US, by the way. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I dont have this one but years ago i had a icemat glass mouse pad. You have to be careful not to scratch the paint off the back of the glass and if you get any dust on the mouse you get that piece of sand on glass scratching noise. It then comes down to always cleaning the under side of the mouse and mouse pad.

They are nice to look at and tell people you have a glass mouse pad but not practical, mine is sitting in the closet in the original box .

I use this at home Razer mouse pad and this one at work Razer destructor

Well, who knows how to get thicc natural materials mousemats so we're not just phoning it in as far as eliminating (ha!) microplastics?

Darn, I can't find the cool chemical species one I got. Or Rust (the language, not the game)
Maybe there are some very fine Redo Of A Healer (Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi,) Muv-Luv Total Eclipse, Synduality Noir, Another, Mad God, or Gleipnir mousemats c.f. Rakuten or the Crunchyroll shop?

I should perhaps rather say no mice! Only AR controllers! And USI 2.0 or newer styli.

Well if you were going to get a plastic mousepad, may as well instead for a similar price buy a sheet of Formica to cover the whole desktop with instead. That way there are also no annoying mousepad edges to catch the mouse on either.

Mice track fine on any highly patterned print, and melamine is both reasonably abrasion-resistant and about the cheapest countertop material you can buy. With a coefficient of friction of 0.29 it's slipperier than Nylon at 0.37 but less than Teflon which is <0.20
