Whats up guys!

So I am about to get my new rig, and I was looking for some advice from you guys. I've been out of the hardware loop for a while now, so I'm not too sure on what to do.

Basically I will be gaming at 1080p on Ultra settings. I'd like the system to be relatively "future proof" (I know that term basically doesn't even mean anything), and I'd like to be able to play all of the upcoming titles (Anthem, Destiny 2, FarCry5 etc) at 1080p on ultra settings. Pretty simple, really :)

My question boils down to; which combo of GPU and CPU should I go for? I've heard that games these days are increasingly making use of multiple threads, so I'm looking at going for one of the new i7 CPU's. Is this overkill for my requirements?

I'd also like to know if I should go with a GTX1070, or will a GTX1060 do the job just fine?

Thanks in advance for any help :)
John

Solution
if you want to go with Intel I7, they just release coffelake today, intel 8th generation, take a look at the i7 8700k, but you better have some good budget.

well, i would recommend these 2 builds for you:

INTEL:

CPU: I7 8700k
MOBO: Z370 MODEL (need the check the available models for it yet)
GPU: GTX 1070 (the future proof you want)
RAM: 8gbx2 3000 MHz (the manufacturer is up to your likings)

AMD:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600x (if your focus is gaming) or Ryzen 7 1700x (if you focus on multitasking harder then gaming)
MOBO: B350 or X370 Models (X370 for SLI, and more ports)
GPU: i would go with GTX 1070 as well, but people are saying that the vegas GPU are pretty good too(have to see it for myself yet)
RAM: 8gbx2 3200MHz Gskills Models...

i believe any of these 2 builds will serve you pretty well

Solution
Bro Go for Ryzen as Its future proof. Especially R7 series. The best Bang for buck is R7 1700 with included Cooler. The board of choice will be B350 with the 2666Mhz Ram will suffice your future and current needs. The least you should get a 1060 6GB version which is right at performance per dollar. Don't go for 1070 as the prices are much higher but if your budget permits go for GTX1080 for Ultra performance in Games, 1060 6GB version will suffice most games at High or very High.
One more thing I want you to know is that Ultra setting in Games are not worth it as the game is most playable at High and very High settings with some in-game tweaks like Draw Distance or Anti-Analysing...etc.... So better to stick with 1060 at wait for future Gen GPU's. I won't recommend Vega GPU's as power draw is much more than the Nvidia GPU's.
