1. What is your budget?

Around 1800 Euros but can go up to 2000 if its really worth.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

At least 16"

3. What screen resolution do you want?

2k

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

-Closer to desktop replacement, something similar to what I have now(Clevo P651RP6-G)

5. How much battery life do you need?

-Doesn't matter much.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

-Nothing demanding but I need a laptop that will last.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? As many as possible storage slots.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

Anywhere available in Europe.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

-Probably around 6-7 years.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

-Have no aversion from brands but XMG seems to be a little more budgety.

13. What country do you live in?

-EU

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

I don't care about vanity features like backlit keyboards or any kind of RGB, better if they aren't included at all or can be turned off completely. Build quality, sockets&slots and a high TDP GPU is more important than any flashiness. Weight and thickness also aren't issues as these affect cooling and expansion.

I'd go for the Predator 300 PH315-55. Budget, good build, good cooling, nothing flashy but the backlit keyboard and underplate & will last you at least 6-7 years too but be sure to find one with either a 3060 or 3070 Ti as many of them have lower version GPUs...................................

Its one option but its both 15" and hard to find unused :/
Hey there,

Maybe something like this: https://www.currys.ie/products/hp-o...S&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=Affiliate

Yes, this is in Ireland, but it's more to give you a look at the specs and it fits the budget. Very strong machine.

You can turn the bling off! :)

This is more of what I look in terms of hardware but its really small.

Will photo/video editing be a primary task? If yes, you'll want a decent discrete GPU. This will definitely bump up the price. If photo/video editing will be more like hobby level, then some of the newer mobile CPUs have excellent integrated GPUs.
I recently did some Handbrake encoding with my 7940HS laptop and was blown away by how capable it was. It chewed through the encode in 10 mins and never even got near max TDP. This was on a ROG Flow X13. Also note that you'll probably want a minimum of 32GBs of RAM for regular video editing.

Oops, apologies. I thought that was a 16inch version. It's really just something as a guide for what you can get.

Specs wise, you won't get much bigger than this. 14' is good for travel. Hook it up to an external monitor when at home, and you have your bigger screen real estate :)#
No worries about that. Currently using an external monitor but larger size helps with ports&slots and cooling. Normally I'd say anything below 17" is a no no but recently discovered 16" and its a better tradeoff in terms of both size and mobility than 15 or 14s.

My bad about that. I left that question untouched and mislead you. I don't intend to do any graphics work.
