Of course I'm also looking budget wise, but my idea of what I'd like to do is have a Samsung m7 43" monitor sitting above a ViewSonic VG3456 or vice versa, whichever is cheaper, although ideally I'd like the prior mentioned type stack with the larger above the smaller. I say maybe the Samsung would really need a 18" height clearance to sit nicely above the ViewSonic.

I suggest a different approach...

Google "Vertical VESA double monitor stands" and take a close look at the various mounts presented.

Then refine your search criteria to narrow down the options that meet (or could meet) your requirements.

Pick 2 or 3 that meet your requirements.

Read the specs and details very carefully. Pay close attention to the installation/user Guide or Manual. Not uncommon that the monitors may get in each other's way when you actually put it all together. All may not actually fit in the end. Watch the tolerances.....

Size, weight, and balance all matter.

What is your budget for the monitor arm/mount? Do not go cheap. Especially with those large monitors.

Many such stands can be mounted in a variety of ways: floor mount, desk mount, wall mount. The mounting needs to be very strong and secure. All the more so if the monitors get moved or otherwise swung about. Screws, clamps, etc. will work loose and fail with very bad results. Solid wood is a must.

Once you have selected a couple of potential candidates then post your choices.

Members can then respond with ideas and comments based on personal experiences and knowledge.

You need to provide a starting point.

Guess i should've mentioned it before hand, as if budgetwise didn't explain it enough.

I AM NOT looking for double monitor arms, plus i highly doubt there would be one that work with such a drastic difference in sizes.

The samsung is basically a huge square and the viewsonic is a long horizontal rectangle.

Finding an arm that couls amend to both those aspects would quite possibly cost a fortune or near the same amount as a used monitor, and the weight suppirted they'd both bring into play.

I didn't ask for this plus when ya typically see vertical mounts the displays are in that orientation which again wouldn't with this size ratio.

Both are evenly the same width, but height wise the viewsonic is maybe 15" no stand and the samsung 27" wise no stand i think measurements may be a little off.

That's why I'm okay with leaving one on the desk with its original stand.

Leave the bigger Samsung on its' original stand and then use a desk mounted arm for the smaller monitor.

I use an Insignia VESA mount on a post clamped to my work desk - actually more of a table. Supports a 24" Viewsonic monitor.

When I need two monitors I just set a 20" Acer monitor on its' stand next to the Viewsonic. Very much takes up the width of my desk.

But that is completely different than your circumstances: you have much larger monitors and require a vertical alignment.

Very doable - the above referenced TEK mount being a possible method.

Just be sure that you read and follow the mounting instructions. For example; if there are not wall studs "where needed" then you may need mount a suitably sized plywood sheet to the wall via the studs.

Then place the VESA wall mount where needed on the plywood sheet. And do remember that there will be power and video cables to manage.

I would not use just drywall anchors of any sort. Especially if the monitors need to be adjusted from time to time.

Read the specs, the installation guide, and watch the videos. Applies to any mount.

Appreciate the option but i rent a room and don't think my landlord would like me randomly screwing holes in thevwall, shes a finnicky old lady. Haha

Another option is to get a floor mount rack. Some have wheels. I have one I bought with wheels for my 55 inch for behind my desk and have other monitors on swing arms that can sit beside the 55 inch or swing to sit in front of it.

I only use the 55 inch when gaming and the regular 32 and 27 inch as daily drivers.

Just throwing ideas out there. :)

Its silly how everyone is suggesting the way opposite? Am i being trolled! LMAO

But no i have a huge metal desk it has room enough to clip on a clasp.

I'm just looking for a reasonably priced affordable monitor ARM not a rolling stand or mount or any of the other way off course suggestions.

Something that would support my samsung m7 43 in monitor. With a height clearance of 17".

And we all kept winding up wout in left field with a foul ball.

@ c5d

I deleted the post with the room image. The lower left corner may be showing your name.

You may certainly repost the room image and doing so will help other members understand and address your monitor requirements.

Just edit the image beforehand.

Ergotron is the place to go for quality mounts.

Yes, they are expensive. But look at the specs to see what you need to know.
For instance , the weight of the monitors is very relevant.
Yeah I was thinking a bunch of these veaa monitor arms that say for x size don't really matter so long as the arm can support the weight and the holes match up with the bracket, its just a stupid upsale tactic.
