Which models of USB WiFi Adapters sold by Aliexpress are good, stable and give a strong signal at a low price, and what functions are necessary for good performance ?

The Realtek RTL8811CU-CG is a highly integrated single-chip that supports 1-stream 802.11ac solutions with Multi-user MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) and Wireless LAN (WLAN) USB interface controller. It combines a WLAN MAC, a 1T1R capable WLAN baseband, and RF in a single chip

1T1R means 1 transmitter, 1 receiver and only one antenna

Will a golden coating make copper real gold?

Wifi chipset vendors and adapter vendors just don't want to reveal detail info so customer really don't know what they get so customers will buy again and again.

If you use gigabits ethernet, you get gigabits.

You have to be very careful about the part numbers. RTL8814 and RTL8811 are very different. The first one tends to have a number like 1900, the second one has a number like 600
These "speed" numbers can give you a guess as to the way the data is encoded.

The 8814 is using 3x3 mimo. The 8811 only uses 1x1. This also represent the number of antenna they actually use.

The device you have a link to on aliexpress likely uses neither of those chips. I can find nothing in the add about the chip.

If you believe the 1200 number that means it is using 2x2 mimo...ie 2 antenna.

What they are doing is putting 2 antenna on for the 5ghz and 2 antenna on for the 2.4ghz. This is even more silly since they are all the same physical size. Very technically the optimum antenna size will be slightly different. Since 2.4g band is almost exactly 1/2 the 5ghz band the optimum antenna length is less than 1mm different and they can't actually manufacture things for the mass market that accurately. It can't actually run on 2.4g and 5g at the same time since there is only 1 radio chip that change the frequency

In any case you are just going to have to buy something blindly. The chips that are used in these older wifi technology are pennies. Companies have no real incentive to lie about these older devices. If it was wifi7 where the chips and the circuit boards cost much more to manufacture it is more likely they lie.
