Hey guys! So I have been trying to record some demos on csgo with OBS and during the recording I don't have any problems whatsoever.
Its when I watch the video that I see that it is all laggy and decolored.
Hardware:
CPU i7 7700K 5.0Ghz Delided
Graphics Card GTX 1080 Ti Trio
16GB 3000Mhz RAM

I dont have any cooling issues.

[EDIT]: Heres an example of what I am talking about the lack of colour (Right: what I see) (Left: what the footage looks like) https://photographyconcentrate.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/RAW1.jpg

Here's a tutorial on it.
This is about key frames and lagginess when editing the file,I don't think it's what the OP means.

If you get choppy replay in video players you have to put the encoder tasks priority to realtime so that windows knows that that's what you want to focus on.
You can use task manager to do this or a tool like process explorer to save this setting so you don't need to do it every time.

The drive you're recording too can be a factor, if it's a regular HDD, and it's not dedicated for recordings, lag could happen.
Could possibly happen with a shared SSD, simply because the throughput to the drive is being shared between it and the game.
The settings of your records are 90% of the equation, have to get them right.

Also, dedicating CPU cores/threads to the game and the recording software so they don't try to fight for resources helps:

The mp4 file that results from the recording its all laggy and the colors are missing even tho OBS settings are intended to be high quality.

This could fix the lag issue, but what about the color issue?
