Recording with Fraps

So I have started recording vids with fraps but in some vids the audio messes up I was researching why when i found out that it is best to record fraps to a separate hard drive is that true and do you have any reccomedations

I can't say that I know too much about Fraps recording, however I do a lot of live streaming while gaming or just fooling around with my machines. I tried Fraps recording and just ran into one issue after another, finally I gave up and started exploring other programs. What works best for me is a program called OBS Studio.

If Fraps isn't working for you, I'd recommend OBS Studio.

If you have an Nvidia graphics card, OBS can use the GPU to do all of the rendering, rather than just assisting the CPU. I find that feature to be a lifesaver when running multiple VMs at a time.
