Does Recuva only show previously deleted files in the selected drive I run it on, or will it also show a duplicate of the files I still have on the drive at the moment?

If I'm only looking for deleted files, is it best I first move files and folders I have on that drive somewhere else before running recuva, or is it fine?

It is only for "recovery". It will not show things existing in their fullness.

And moving forward, please please please don't depend on file recovery tools like Recuva to save your data.
There should never be only "one" copy of anything you do not wish to lose.

Thanks. Yes, don't worry, I have backups.
