This is my first computer build and I've struggled a lot. Sunday and Monday were dedicated entirely to just trying to get the thing to turn on - I don't know how I managed to do that. The build turns on, but the red CPU "EZ Debug LED" is on. My monitor, mouse, and keyboard get no signal. Please help me, I am a simple idiot 17 year old girl.

What I have tried:
-Boot with the whole thing out of the case.
-Triple checking the CPU is seated correctly.
-Checking if the ATX and CPU power cords are in correctly.
-Checking if the GPU is seated correctly.
-Booting with nothing but the CPU and GPU connected.
-Booting with just the CPU, and having the monitor connected to the motherboard.
-Booting with only 1 stick of RAM, as well as no sticks of RAM.
-Removing the CMOS and putting it back in (idk i was just trying everything at this point).

Part List:
AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor
MSI - B450 Gaming Plus ATX AM4 Motherboard
G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (they were a gift)
MSI - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card
Corsair - CXM 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

ok that cpu won't boot plugged into motherboard no onboard graphics.

ideally outside case> motherboard and PSU on top of motherboard box
make sure cpu is seated, cpu cooler is mounted and fan plugged into CPU_fan. with one stick in the DIMMA2 slot. plug-in GPU, no usb's or anything else should be plugged in except CPU 8pin and 24 pin main power from PSU(possible your GPU may need PCI-E power from psu as well. that will be one of cable you have to plug in on that power supply.) ignore that last part if your GPU has no 6-pin connection on outside edge. Make sure PSU is unplugged until all of this is complete.
now connect monitor to back of GPU
plug in PSU and flip switch on back of PSU to I not 0

Find FRONT_PANEL header on motherboard and locate power switch + and - pins and touch a screwdriver (not a swiss army knife) to these pins
post back and let me know if your screen lights up

I have this exact same problem, CPU light is red when starting up. Have checked everything is plugged in ok, I have checked the CPU several times, no bent pins, all seems fine.

B450 Tomahawk
Ryzen 5 2600
Zotac Geforce 1080

I have followed all of the previous steps, Only have GPU and PSU plugged, 1 8gb ram in slot 2, used a screwdriver to turn on but it starts up the exact same. Fan on CPU spins but the red CPU light remains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I had this problem some months ago, and I went to a shop where they telled me I had the motherboard built without the screws, which made the motherboard touch the case and make a short circuit.
The guy there put some screws and the problem got solved.

I will give some additional info, if anyone is interested:
SO: Windows 10 Home
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
RAM: 1x 8GB DDR4
Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Plus
Graphics card: Zotac NVidia GTX 1050Ti

Hey, tell me please which screws did they put in? Do you have any pictures? Maybe I do have the very same problem.

I actually did figure it out! All the parts were put together properly and nothing was broken, my BIOS wasn't updated on my Motherboard so it didn't recognize the new generation of Ryzen CPU's. This was my first build so I had no older CPU to use to update my BIOS. What I had to do was take it to my local pc laptops store and they put in an older gen of Ryzen CPU, updated the BIOS, and reinstalled my new Ryzen CPU and voila. It worked.

I wish it works to me too but I payed 15€ to have my bios updated (maybe the sellers are shit) ... I wish that is all :(
